Wednesday night at the Red Sox game in Boston, the team and city paid tribute to  Senator Edward Kennedy.  There was a Heartland connection.  After a video retrospective, Olathe’s own Quincy Garner, trumpeter with the United States Air Force Band of Liberty, stepped up to the plate and played Taps.  It was a stirring and evocative musical moment.
